P&O Ferries depart from the Eastern Docks at Dover port.

The port is easily accessible via road, rail, and shutle bus. Please note that check in for vehicles is 30 minutes before departure and 45 minutes before departure for foot passengers.

Getting to Dover by Car

Dover ferry terminal is just outside Dover town centre, and can be easily reached from either the M2 or M20 motorways. As soon as you near Dover, pick up the signs for "Dover ferry terminal". On arrival at the port, keep to the left then join the "Vehicles with Reservations" lane and proceed to the check-in booths.

Parking at Dover port

If you would like to leave your car at Dover port, there is plenty of long and short stay parking - look out for the multi-storey car park at the entrance to the port. There is also free drop-off parking in front of the travel centre which is limited to 15 minutes. The car parking is operated by the Dover Harbour Board - check with them direct for parking fees.

Foot passengers

Foot passengers can only travel between 0825 and 1935 Dover to Calais and 0630 to 2200 Calais to Dover - this is a P&O restriction.

By train

Dover Priory is the nearest mainline train station and is about 1.5 miles from the port. Trains from London Victoria and Charing Cross take approximately 2 hours. There is a regular shuttle bus service between the port and the station which operates between 0700 and 2040, with a cost of £2 wach way.

By Coach

National Express operates a regular service between the ferry terminal and London Victoria with a journey time of approximately 2h 30m.
